« Back Rankings update - Bolt from the Blue at EKKA - But Can Lightning Strike Twice?

Ryan "Blue" Bowen has had a swift rise to glory in 2014. After placing eighth at the 2014 Fitx Armwrestling Cup, Bowen has not lost any subsequent matches on the right arm, and has had a consistent rise in his ratings. After his recent successful supermatch against Steve Carter at EKKA, he has now overtaken Kyle Howarth and is ranked second for the right arm 70kg-80kg class.

The number one for that class is of course Grant Tolentino. Tolentino and Bowen have only formally competed once before, at the 2013 Queensland Championships, a match which Tolentino won. Will history repeat itself at the 2014 Queensland Championships or will Tolentino be seeing red?

Other ranking movements following the EKKA Supermatches include:

  • Adam Stifanic moved up four places in the heavyweight right class and is now in the top ten.
  • Davide Deon has earned a ranking and is now placed 17th in the right 70kg-80kg class.

The EKKA Supermatches event was also a debut for Aaron Davis, Jordan Davis, Robert Fox, Anthony Stifanic and Steve Carter.
